Jen and Kyle Thygesen with their son Keenan at the family farm in Tunbridge.

We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with Tunbridge Hill Farm to provide you with an expanded selection of locally grown foods. We will have a selection of beef, veal, and eggs available for purchase at Tunbridge Hill Farm on Monday afternoons. We hope to expand our selection later in the season to include pork, free-range chickens and turkeys as well. Jen also creates 'milk and honey' soap from our own organic milk, and will have some bars available for purchase.

Here's a little background about who we are: A Tunbridge native, Jen has always been active at Howacres, her family's dairy farm which is located a mile south of the Tunbridge Fairgrounds. She met Kyle, who grew up on a small dairy farm in eastern New York, in college, and we moved back to Tunbridge in 2006. Soon after, we took over the dairy operation from Jen's parents, Alan and Pat Howe. Kyle currently manages the farm of 100 dairy cattle, with Jen's help on weekends and in spare time. Our son Keenan particularly loves helping to collect eggs, feeding calves and caring for small animals.

In addition to our passion for dairy farming, our goal is to also diversify our farm and serve more local products, such as beef and eggs, to neighbors and friends. Very proud of our family farm, we work together with Alan (who puts up crops) and Jen's sister's family who is involved in small animal and garden work. Keenan is already talking about being a farmer when he grows up — and we'd be thrilled to have a fifth-generation farmer caring for our land and animals.

For more information, or to place special or large orders, contact Kyle at 802-369-0267 or fallshill@gmail.com. There's more information about our farm at thefarmsteadstore.com. We look forward to meeting and working with you, and providing you with the finest quality products from our farm.
